Dear Christian Health Associates Family, my colleagues, coworkers and patients,

With a heart full of gratitude and anticipation, I am writing to share an important transition in my professional journey. As one of the founders of Christian Health Associates thirty years ago, I have been blessed to witness our vision grow beyond what we initially imagined. The expansion of our mission and the impact we’ve made together fills me with profound joy and thanksgiving.

Throughout my time here, I have been continuously moved by the dedication, compassion, and spirit of service demonstrated by my co-founders and each one of you. Your commitment to our shared mission has made CHA what it is today, and for that, I am deeply grateful.

Just as God called me to participate in founding CHA, He is now calling me to embark on a new chapter of ministry. After much prayer and reflection, I have chosen not to renew my CHA contract as I follow His direction to take the healing ministry of Jesus into all the world through teaching and practicing the Fascial Distortion Model (FDM).

This calling, which aligns with the medical missions vision God placed in my heart during my teenage years, requires me to dedicate more time and attention to this specific work. Beginning January 1, 2025, I will be pursuing this call full-time. In fact, I’m humbled to share that my new journey will begin with joining FDM colleagues in Burkina Faso, West Africa for an FDM Seminar in mid-January.

Moving forward, I will maintain a connection to our medical community through part-time work at the Providence Family Medicine Residency Program, supervising physician residents in training. I will continue seeing patients locally for OMT on a limited basis in rented office space dedicated to that purpose. Where and when this will launch remains uncertain at the time of this writing, but I will make it known as soon as I have it arranged, so that our patients can be properly notified if they want to continue OMT services with me.

This transition represents not an ending, but the beginning of a “second curve” in my ministry journey. The foundations we’ve built together at CHA will continue to influence and inform my work as I step into this new chapter of global medical ministry through FDM training.

I want to express my deepest appreciation for the years we’ve shared, the lives we’ve touched together, and the lasting impact we’ve made as a team. Your support and collaboration have been invaluable, and I will carry the lessons and memories from our time together as I move forward in this new direction.

It is remarkable to look back over the past 30 years and to be able to proclaim with wonderment and conviction, “Look what the Lord has done”. We have been through so much together and can truly say God has been faithful. The best is yet to come.

With profound gratitude and love,

Byron Perkins,
